This qualification is ideal for those learners who wish to learn about areas such as the benefits of positive communication, issues around the use of medication for those with dementia and the importance of person centred care.

 

Course Structure and Overview

 

7 mandatory units to complete

Flexible learning – candidates complete the programme within agreed time-scales

Fully supported by CBD Training in partnership with our Funding Providers and the Skills Network.

Simple enrolment and induction process

Allocated tutor/assessor to guide and support you through each unit

Receive a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification upon completion

NO course fees – fully funded (subject to terms and conditions)

 

Each candidate will receive their own learning pack which includes learning resources/information booklets and paper-based assessments, one for each part.

 

There is approximately 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK.  The number of people with dementia in the UK is forecast to increase to over 1 million by 2025 and over 2 million by 2051.
