Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care

Course Overview

The aim of this qualification is to support, guide and assess the development of the skills and knowledge required for a role in health and social care such as Senior Care Assistants, Care Supervisors, Senior Support Workers, Care officers, Community Support Officers and Relief Team Leaders.

The qualification is made up of 9 mandatory units and a choice of optional units which can be used to show competence and ability in many different areas of work.

This qualification requires you to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to work in a more senior health and social care role.

You will be allocated a qualified assessor to guide you through each unit and provide you with a quality learning experience.

This qualification can take around 9-12 months to complete.

On completion you will receive a nationally recognised qualification

Progression Routes

Learners may progress onto further qualifications specific to their work.  A wide range of qualifications are available for use within the social care sector. These may include apprenticeship frameworks (e.g. Advanced level Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care or Management Level), specific Health and Social Care qualifications (e.g. End of Life Care) or other work-related education and training to support.
